  • 16/07/1979 - Towed Hobart - Launceston on Train No. 44 with DP22 (trip north was interrupted when DP22 broke away from the train at Rhyndaston and ran away downhill for 10kms. It was safely recovered.

  • 14/03/1999 - End 2005 - Various trips on the mainline

  • Early 1939 - Built at Waddingtons Bodyworks, Granville, New South Wales

  • 15/08/1939 - Entered service (Hobart suburban) with DP's 15 & 16

  • 31/12/1974 - Cessation of Hobart suburban service. Limited use during Hobart Show untill 1977

  • 17/10/1978 - Written off

  • 05/1979 - Tendered for disposal

  • 06/1979 - Sold to Tasmanian Transport Museum, Glenorchy

  • 13/10/1979 - Rail transfer Hobart to Tasmanian Transport Museum, Glenorchy

  • 04/2017 - Repainted in Green and Cream Livery

  • 2021 - Restoration complete and return to service

  • 06/1979 - Sold to Wee Georgie Wood Steam Railway, Tullah

  • 10/2001 - Sold to Burnie City Council

  • 07/11/2001 - Trucked to DRR Devonport for restoration

  • 02/04/2004 - Restored as a dining car for use between DP's 13 & 14 - transferred to Burnie

  • 25/7/2004 - Returned to traffic with Burnie Rail

  • Late 2005 - Stored Burnie (Burnie Rail service terminated)

  • 2017 - Transferred to Don River Railway (by road)

  • 09/2017 - Sold to a private buyer and transferred to Launceston & North East Railway, Karoola

PT6

  • Early 1944 - Built at Waddingtons Bodyworks, Granville, New South Wales

  • 18/8/1944 - Entered service (Western Line service) with DP's 20 - 24, DT1 & 2

  • 1957 - Transferred to Hobart suburban service

  • 31/12/1974 - Cessation of Hobart suburban service. Limited use during Hobart Show untill 1977

  • 1980 - Stripped of mechanical & internal fittings & scrapped in Launceston

DT1 / ABL2

  • 28/3/1945- Entered service (Western Line service) with DP's 20 - 24, PT5 & 6

  • 1957 - Transferred to Hobart suburban service. Saw minimal use

  • 08/07/1961 - Sold to Emu Bay Railway (EBR)

  • Late 1961 - Coverted to carriage ABL2 (heavy couplers, vacuum brakes, baggage compartment converted to passenger compartment)

  • End 1961 - 11/1963 - Used on EBR "Westcoaster" service

  • 01/1964 - 11/1983 - Used on EBR Mixed train services

  • 02/1984 - Sold to Tasmanian Rail Tours

  • 04/1984 - Transferred to Hobart

  • 1986 - Tasmanian Rail Tours absorbed by Tas. Loco. Co. & moved to Cadburys

  • 1990 - Tas. Loco. Co. rolling stock taken over by Derwent Valley Railway

  • 12/1993 - Transferred to New Norfolk

  • Late 2005 - Stored

DT2
