Bus Charter
Our 1971 petrol engine Bedford bus (No.249) was the last of 315 buses to enter service in 1971 for Metropolitan Transport Trust (MTT/Metro). This particular design was bodied by the Hobart firm of City Bodyworks who had been locally building specialised bus bodies since the 1930s. No.249 was withdrawn from service in 1987 and kindly repainted by the MTT before being presented to the museum for preservation in 1988.
- No.249 is fully road registered and is available for hire within an approximate 2o kilometre radius of the museum.
- It is licensed to carry a maximum of 38 persons.
- Available for weddings, birthdays, tours, media and other special events.
