Did someone say Birthday Party?
the Party Carriage is a great place to hold a child's birthday party. It was originally built for the Tasmanian Mainline Railway Company in 1885 and has recently been restored by our volunteers into our Party Carriage. Whilst keeping the traditional historic feel on the outside, the inside has been transformed with bright colours and bench seating.
How many people does it hold?
The Party Carriage is limited to seat up to 15 people comfortably.
There are also picnic tables and a deck area outside the carriage which is included with the booking.
Please note that during inclement weather anymore than 15 people inside the carriage would be a tight fit. We recommend visiting the museum prior to booking to see if the carriage will suit the size of your planned party.
When is the Party Carriage available for hire?
Our Party Carriage is available for hire on Sundays only between 11:30am - 2:30pm.
