The Tasmanian Transport Museum is open on Sundays and by appointment for school and tour groups. The museum has a large collection of transport related exhibits. These include:
- railway locomotives, railcars, carriages and wagons
- trams and trolley buses
- buses and trucks
- a large model train display
The museum offers train rides and heritage bus rides on selected dates.

Guide Dogs and other registered Assistance Dogs are welcome. No other pets are permitted at the museum.

Heritage Bus Ride Departure Times
Climb aboard our restored vintage 1971 Bedford bus for a nostalgic journey through the local Glenorchy streets and surrounding area. A touch of yesteryear bus travel with the retro seats, the hum of the petrol engine will bring back memories of times gone by.
Whether you are a bus enthusiast or simply looking to sample yesteryear bus travel, our 20-minute ride will add to your museum experience.
