The Tasmanian Transport Museum is open on Sundays and by appointment for school and tour groups. The museum offers train rides on selected dates. The museum has a large collection of transport related exhibits. These include:
- railway locomotives, railcars, carriages and wagons
- trams and trolley buses
- buses and trucks
- a large model train display

* Please note that train rides only operate on days where we open between 11am and 4pm.

Note: On Steam train and Diesel Y4 train ride days, the 11:15am and 11:45am are strictly Trybooking only sales, no walk-up tickets available for these two services unless advertised the evening prior on Facebook.

All train rides are subject to availability of rolling stock and could change or be cancelled at short notice.
Train rides are approximately 15 minutes in duration.
